Residential Program
The Arc of Butler County's Residential Program offers a
continuum of services to assist individuals on their
journey toward independent living. Individuals may
enter the continuum at any appropriate point
dependent on their needs.
Group Homes - 24 hour a day, 7 day a week staff
supervision, providing individuals the opportunity to
experience community living in a structured environment.
Here they will be able to learn the necessary skills
to live independently such as shopping, cooking, money
management, and community awareness.
Semi-Independent- 40 hour a week staff support
for individuals whom have already acquired the basic
skills necessary for independent living, but are not
yet ready to live entirely on their own. Staff assists
individuals in refining their skills to the level
necessary for complete independence.
Supported Housing- The Supported Housing
Counselor provides up to 10 hours of support per
week to individuals whom have acquired the necessary
skills for independent living. Each individual lives
in his/her separate apartment.
Family Living- This is a rather unique program
which places individuals into the home of community
providers for long-term care and training. Individuals
in this program are totally integrated into the daily
lives of the families with whom they reside.
